Maternal deaths are largely preventable with well-established, high-quality healthcare practices that effectively manage maternal complications. However, health system constraints often limit access to these simple and affordable solutions, particularly for women in remote and low-income communities.

Cordaid is committed to strengthening health systems by addressing these barriers and improving the delivery of essential healthcare, including critical sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. One of our key strategies is promoting performance-based financing (PBF) to enhance healthcare access and quality for hard-to-reach populations.
