Koos Boering began his career as an accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before transitioning into financial management roles. Over the past 30 years, he has worked across the corporate, non-profit, and NGO sectors, holding CFO positions at organisations such as Syntens, the KWF Cancer Foundation, and Aidsfonds. His career has centred on fostering collaboration, developing high-performing teams, and creating sustainable financial solutions.

‘The people we work for need our support more than ever,’ Boering emphasises. ‘In today’s challenging political and financial climate, we must redefine our role, navigate reduced government funding, and seize opportunities to innovate. I am honoured to contribute to Cordaid’s mission and help ensure its financial resilience.’

Cordaid CEO Heleen van den Berg warmly welcomes Boering’s appointment. ‘Koos’s strategic vision and deep financial expertise come at a pivotal time. As global crises increase, we need a stable and future-ready organisation to respond effectively. His leadership will help us strengthen our capacity to deliver on our mission.’

Sound financial management is crucial for Cordaid to operate in fragile contexts and address urgent needs. We are confident that, with the collective efforts of our team, we can continue to make a meaningful impact.’
